joomla menu image does not display

Thanks satz. I followed the steps as you mentioned. But, the menu image for an item only appears on the Home page and disappears when any of the menu tabs are clicked. Can you please let me know why would this happen?

Please provide more clarifications:
Are you able to see the menu item text instead of the image, in inner pages ?
